The most concentrated strain of motivational business music — a short, soaring cue engineered to make a company, product or achievement feel inspiring, built around a rising chord progression that climaxes in a triumphant, feel-good peak. The sound is bright and anthemic within stock-music limits: chiming piano and glockenspiel, arpeggiated acoustic guitar, four-on-the-floor kick, swelling strings or synth pads, handclaps and a big "we did it" lift. Arrangements are tightly formulaic — gentle build, driving middle, euphoric climax — and supplied in edits for presentations and ads. The mood is purely positive and aspirational, corporate optimism distilled to its essence.

History

The uplifting corporate cue is the flagship archetype of the digital stock-music era, its rise tracking the explosion of promotional, explainer and social-brand video from around 2008 onward. Marketplaces like AudioJungle made "uplifting corporate" one of their most-searched tags, and composers such as Benjamin Tissot (Bensound) and Scott Holmes built catalogues of inspiring, motivational cues that became inescapable in advertising, crowdfunding videos and conference presentations. So ubiquitous and formulaic that it became an affectionate internet cliché, the uplifting corporate cue nonetheless remains one of the most licensed and commercially vital functional-music styles of the streaming decade.
