History
Trap worship rap emerged as Christian trap and worship rap converged in the late 2010s, with artists writing God-directed praise over trap beats for a generation raised on Atlanta hip-hop and Hillsong. Hulvey, 1K Phew, and WHATUPRG modeled the blend, and Reach Records' worship-leaning singles plus youth-conference culture gave it a stage. It is one of the newest CHH offshoots, sitting between the worship-boom and CHH-streaming eras and blurring the line between rapper and worship leader.
