Toddler Tunes
Located in 1 route
Toddler Tunes are short, sturdy songs for children who are beginning to sing, move, point, answer and request favorites by name. They usually use concrete subjects: animals, food, vehicles, body parts, family, colors, counting and silly motion. The arrangements can be folk, rock, pop or electronic, but the writing stays direct. A good toddler tune survives repetition because it gives the child something to do every few seconds.
History
Raffi, Sharon, Lois & Bram, Hap Palmer and other preschool musicians made toddler listening a serious craft before cable television and video channels multiplied the format. The Wiggles, Laurie Berkner, Caspar Babypants, The Kiboomers, Super Simple Songs, CoComelon and Jack Hartmann later turned toddler music into a daily streaming habit. The genre now bridges home listening, daycare transitions, speech practice, movement breaks and parent-child play.
