Terrorcore is horror-themed extreme hardcore with very fast tempos, brutal kicks, dark samples, violent imagery, and a confrontational underground identity. It is usually harsher and less melodic than Frenchcore, often close to speedcore but with stronger horror/terror framing. The style exists to feel threatening, comic-book evil, and overwhelming.

History

Terrorcore grew from gabber, speedcore, industrial hardcore, horrorcore sampling, and European extreme rave scenes. Delta 9, Noisekick, The Destroyer, The Speed Freak, Frazzbass, Komprex, Akira, Drokz, SRB, Passenger of Shit, The Berzerker, and Hellfish represent different levels of terrorcore and adjacent extreme hardcore. It remains a specialist area inside Thunderdome-style events, underground labels, and internet hardcore communities.
