Tearout Dubstep is heavy dubstep stripped for violence: distorted growls, metallic hits, abrupt fake-outs, screamed or horror samples, huge drums, and drops built to feel physically torn open. It usually sits in the 140–150 BPM zone with half-time impact and far more aggression than classic dubstep or standard riddim.
History
Tearout evolved from brostep, riddim, deathstep, and metal-influenced bass music as producers made drops harsher, faster-cut, and more mosh-oriented. MARAUDA, SVDDEN DEATH, Midnight Tyrannosaurus, Trampa, Eptic, Kompany, MUST DIE!, Samplifire, and related artists made the sound central to late-2010s heavy bass festivals. It influenced modern dubstep sound design by normalizing extreme distortion, horror theatrics, and crowd-control drops that leave little room for subtlety.
