History
Emerged around 1979-1980 in Southern California as Agent Orange (Placentia) fused Dick Dale-style surf leads with punk velocity on 'Bloodstains.' JFA in Arizona brought skate culture; the sound tied directly to the early-80s skate-punk scene. It bridged the surf revival and hardcore, later covered and championed by bands like The Offspring.
