Rock engineered for the largest rooms: chant-along choruses, fist-pump rhythms, stomping beats and choruses built to be roared back by tens of thousands. Big, simple, repeatable hooks; layered guitars and vocals for arena scale; songs designed as communal events. Maximalist and anthemic by intent. Cross-listed into Arena / Anthem Rock.

History

As 70s touring scaled from theaters to stadiums, bands wrote bigger, simpler, more chantable songs to fill the space and bond huge crowds. The result was a deliberately communal strain of rock, perfected through the late 70s and 80s, whose anthems became sports-arena and singalong staples that endure on catalog radio.
