Speedcore is hardcore pushed into extreme tempo, often above 250 BPM and sometimes far beyond. It uses distorted kicks, blast-like repetition, noise, horror samples, and absurd speed as the main expressive device. The style is intentionally excessive: endurance music for listeners who treat intensity itself as form.
History
Speedcore emerged from hardcore techno, gabber, industrial, breakcore, noise, and labels/artists willing to push rave speed past normal dance utility. Disciples of Annihilation, Lenny Dee, The Speed Freak, Nasenbluten, Noisekick, Komprex, Frazzbass, Passenger of Shit, m1dy, DJ Sharpnel, and Annoying Ringtone became key names. It remains a global underground language for extreme hardcore, internet scenes, and noise-rave events.
