Speed House
Located in 2 routes
Speed House is a late-2010s high-tempo house variant that pushes bass-house and hard-house pressure toward roughly 140-160 BPM. It uses house drops, rave synths, speed-garage propulsion, and hard-dance impact while keeping a DJ-friendly club format. The sound is more niche than classic big room, but it belongs in the mainstage-adjacent electronic map because its rapid tempo, bright drops, and hard-edged basslines fit festival energy and modern short-form dance clips.
History
Canadian producer Haus of Panda is widely associated with coining and organizing the speed-house movement, turning the sound into a label and compilation ecosystem around 2020. Earlier high-energy hard-house and bass-house records helped set the table, while artists such as CHYL, ALRT, Juyen Sebulba, Use Caution, and others expanded the style through Speed House Movement and related labels. Beatport recognition and Monstercat/label activity helped make the term legible beyond a small producer circle.
