Space Music is ambient and electronic music that evokes vastness, orbit, astronomy, and deep cosmic distance. History
Space Music grew from kosmische music, new age, planetarium soundtracks, electronic minimalism, and radio programs such as Hearts of Space. Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze, Vangelis, Jean-Michel Jarre, Brian Eno, Steve Roach, Michael Stearns, Jonn Serrie, Constance Demby, Meg Bowles, and later ambient techno artists all shaped its vocabulary. Its influence extends into film scores, sci-fi sound design, meditation music, ambient festivals, and long-form streaming.
