History
The style grew from early electronic lounge records, instrumental pop, science-fiction scoring, and the stereo LP boom, then crossed into mainstream charts through The Tornados' Telstar and Moog-era singles. Esquivel, Enoch Light, Ferrante & Teicher, The Three Suns, Perrey & Kingsley, Dick Hyman, Jean-Jacques Perrey, and the Music Out of the Moon team supplied its key textures.
