History
Alice Cooper invented the template with snakes, electric chairs and stage executions in the early 70s, earning the title Godfather of Shock Rock. The lineage ran through GWAR's costumed splatter, Rob Zombie's horror-movie metal and Marilyn Manson's late-90s media-panic provocations, keeping outrage and prosthetic gore central to the act.
