History
Early records such as Richie Rich's "Salsa House" made the idea explicit, but New York's deeper Nuyorican house network made it durable. Masters at Work, Louie Vega, Kenny Dope, India, River Ocean, and Nuyorican Soul brought salsa and Afro-Latin spiritual language into club music with sophistication rather than gimmick.
