Roadhouse Americana mixes honky-tonk, blues, and roots rock into hard-wearing club music with strong grooves, guitars up front, and songs built for live rooms. It is a little grittier and more tavern-seasoned than general Americana rock.
History
The style came up in the spaces between roadhouse country bands, Texas roots circuits, and rootsy rock acts that never wanted polish. Its emotional world is bars, highways, loyalty, bad timing, and one more round.
