History
Sparked in 1984 by Run-DMC's 'Rock Box' and crystallized by their 1986 Aerosmith team-up 'Walk This Way,' the first hip-hop top-5 hit. The Beastie Boys carried it through 1994's 'Sabotage'; Kid Rock's 1998 'Devil Without a Cause' and Limp Bizkit's 1999 'Significant Other' ignited a multi-platinum golden age peaking at Woodstock '99.
