A dreamy plugg offshoot that fuses skittering trap drums and soft 808s with lush, jazzy R&B harmony. Glassy detuned FL Studio synths, pitch-bent wobbling leads and warm chord pads float beneath heavily Auto-Tuned, melodic vocals. The mood is hazy, romantic and bedroom-melancholic, intimate rather than aggressive.

History

Grew out of the plugg sound (built by producers like MexikoDro and StoopidXool) when producers XanGang and Goyxrd layered R&B and jazz chords over plugg drums in the late 2010s. SlayWorld recording artists Summrs, Autumn! and Kankan popularized the style on SoundCloud around 2017-2019; it spread via TikTok and reached the mainstream in the early 2020s.
