Parrothead Country is coastal country built around Jimmy Buffett's fan-culture legacy: escapist songs, live-party sing-alongs, tropical iconography, and a community identity as important as the music itself. It is less a sonic innovation than a social-musical lane with a very strong dress code.

History

Buffett's fan ecosystem turned style into lifestyle, and later country artists borrowed not just the sound but the communal ritual of it. Chesney's summer empire, Buffett tributes, beach festivals, and country's broader "toes in the sand" culture all descend from this subgenre's fan-world.
