Movement anthem rap is built for collective chanting, protest presence, and symbolic public use. The hooks are memorable, the rhetoric direct, and the emotional target is solidarity rather than subtlety.

History

Public Enemy laid one of the clearest foundations, but later eras repeatedly produced songs that moved from record to rally. dead prez, Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino, Run the Jewels, YG, and Nipsey Hussle all contributed tracks that operated as movement soundtracks rather than merely topical singles.
