History
Once streaming, boutique labels, and algorithmic discovery made short instrumental works viable mass-listening objects, a distinct ecosystem formed around album-length piano-and-texture writing by Richter, Arnalds, Frahm, Rani, Beving, and peers; these artists did not abandon classical craft, but they recast it into a more intimate, digitally native, time-poor listening economy.
