History
Melodic Christian rap followed the mid-2010s mainstream shift toward melodic, sung rap led by Drake, Travis Scott, and Juice WRLD, with Christian artists adopting the same palette. Hulvey, Aaron Cole, WHATUPRG, and Steven Malcolm built the style on Reach and independent labels, and it became a dominant streaming-era mode for younger listeners.
