Lounge House
Located in 2 routes
Lounge House is house music softened for sophisticated rooms: warm four-on-the-floor grooves, Rhodes chords, brushed percussion, breathy vocals, Latin or bossa touches, and deep-house swing without peak-time pressure. It is more danceable than cafe electronica and less forceful than club house. The style works as connective tissue between dinner-hour DJing, poolside sets, boutique compilations, and soulful deep house.
History
Lounge house grew from deep house, acid jazz, Naked Music, Om Records, Defected's softer side, San Francisco house, Parisian lounge compilations, and Ibiza sunset culture. Miguel Migs, Kaskade, Blue Six, Lisa Shaw, Jay-J, Fred Everything, Mark Farina, Julius Papp, Dimitri From Paris, Bob Sinclar, St Germain, Miguel Migs' Salted Music universe, Lovetronic, De-Phazz, and Mo' Horizons shaped a polished but relaxed house language for public rooms.
