Lounge House is house music softened for sophisticated rooms: warm four-on-the-floor grooves, Rhodes chords, brushed percussion, breathy vocals, Latin or bossa touches, and deep-house swing without peak-time pressure. It is more danceable than cafe electronica and less forceful than club house. The style works as connective tissue between dinner-hour DJing, poolside sets, boutique compilations, and soulful deep house.

History
