History
The style grew as tech-house became a global club lingua franca and Latin American, Spanish, and diaspora DJs injected regional rhythm, vocal phrasing, and party-call energy into the format. Dennis Cruz, HUGEL, Andruss, Tom & Collins, Rafa Barrios, Harvard Bass, and many Latin American producers helped turn Spanish hooks and percussion into Beatport-facing club weapons. It now overlaps heavily with Latin house, Latin tech, guaracha-influenced club music, and peak-time tech-house.
