Kids Pop is mainstream-style pop packaged for children and families: clean lyrics, bouncy beats, character hooks, dances, soundtrack moments, novelty choruses and songs that can move through classrooms, birthday parties, YouTube, animation and family car rides. It overlaps children's pop, but leans more toward pop-product culture: covers, franchises, dance crazes and songs made to be replayed until they become household routines.

History

Disney and Nickelodeon built a large pipeline for kid-facing pop stars, while animated films, children's TV, KIDZ BOP, YouTube channels and viral novelty songs made kids pop a permanent media category. The style changes with platforms: CD compilations and TV themes gave way to streaming playlists and video loops. Its business value is repeatability; its musical value is simple hooks children can own immediately.
