History
Brian Eno’s gallery and light-sound work made the template famous, while artists such as Chris Watson, Celer, and later modular or spatial-sound composers pushed ambient into museums, public spaces, and immersive rooms. The style sits between ambient music and sound art: pieces may function as albums later, but they are conceived with circulation, architecture, and durational habitation in mind rather than with front-facing performance or song consumption.
