Anthemic, motivational and chest-out in tone, it blends trap and soul-sample production with mantras about ambition, loyalty and the hustler's grind — crime narrative reframed as self-made entrepreneurship and survival ethos.
History
Jay-Z's rags-to-riches blueprint and 50 Cent's Get Rich or Die Tryin' (2003) codified the money-and-grind ethos; Jeezy's Thug Motivation 101 (2005) and Rick Ross turned it into anthemic, aspirational street music. Its motivational hustler frame later shaped much of mainstream trap's success-narrative songwriting.
