Hot Club Country

Hot Club Country fuses western swing with Gypsy-jazz or Hot Club guitar language—acoustic lead guitars, tight rhythmic "la pompe" drive, fiddle, upright bass, and crisp western vocal phrasing. It feels drier, stringier, and more cafe-swing in texture than dancehall western swing, but it still knows every country turn.
History
Groups such as Hot Club of Cowtown and related modern players built this niche by reconnecting western swing to its jazz-era European-string relatives. The style became a smart, nimble revival lane for musicians who loved both Bob Wills and Django Reinhardt without feeling obliged to choose one dance partner.
