History
Coalesced mid-2010s around Arca's production for FKA twigs and Kelela and his own solo work, which imported IDM and glitch aesthetics into R&B. Twigs' LP1 (2014), Kelela's Cut 4 Me and Hallucinogen, and the wider Night Slugs/Fade to Mind club axis normalized stuttering, deconstructed beats as a vocabulary for forward-thinking R&B production.
