Future Bounce is the more elastic, melodic, and youthfully energetic side of future house: bouncy pluck chords, springy bass notes, vocal chops, bright leads, and clean festival drops. It is usually lighter than bass house and more playful than darker future house. The style became strongly associated with Dutch and Spinnin'/STMPD-adjacent producers, where compact radio-length arrangements could still carry a recognizable club drop.

History

Future Bounce grew as future house producers looked for a brighter alternative to big-room EDM and a more energetic alternative to deep-house-pop. Mike Williams, Mesto, Brooks, Curbi, Justin Mylo, Lucas & Steve, and Martin Garrix's STMPD/Spinnin' orbit helped define the style. Tracks such as "Bouncybob," "Sweet & Sour," and "Byte" made the bounce literal: tight plucks, offbeat bass, compressed drops, and festival-friendly simplicity that worked for younger EDM crowds.
