Eurodance Pop

Continental club-pop of the 90s: pumping 130-140 BPM four-on-the-floor, stabbing synth-brass riffs, a soaring female hook answered by a male rap, and crashing reverb-drenched drums. Maximal and euphoric, built on the verse-rap/chorus-belt trade-off, with bright trance-y leads and hands-in-the-air energy.
History
Forged in early-90s Germany, Italy and the Benelux as producers fused Italo-house, Hi-NRG and hip-hop. Snap!, 2 Unlimited and Haddaway took the rap/diva formula across Europe and onto US dance radio; the Vengaboys and Eiffel 65 carried the bubbly tail into the late 90s. Its DNA persists in modern festival pop.
