History
Springing from early-'90s Italian and German studios, Eurodance codified the rap-verse/sung-chorus template via acts like Snap!, 2 Unlimited and Haddaway. Snap!'s 'Rhythm Is a Dancer' (1992) set the mold; the sound dominated European charts and crossed into US pop through the decade. By the late '90s it splintered into trance and softer dance-pop that fed later global club hits.
