History
Crystallized in the early 2000s as bands scaled emo up to arena dimensions. My Chemical Romance's 'Three Cheers' (2004) and 'The Black Parade' (2006) made it a stadium spectacle, while AFI, Thursday, and Brand New brought darker, denser textures, pulling emo decisively into mainstream rock radio.
