Algernon Cadwallader, Snowing, Empire! Empire! (I Was a Lonely Estate), Into It. Over It., The World Is a Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid to Die, Joyce Manor, Modern Baseball, The Hotelier, Tigers Jaw, and Foxing helped make the sound a 2010s DIY force, aided by labels such as Topshelf, Count Your Lucky Stars, Run for Cover, Tiny Engines, and No Sleep. Emo Revival renewed interest in twinkle guitars, community shows, and confessional specificity while feeding later sad indie, math emo, and internet-era emo nostalgia.
