Disco House

Disco House is house music built from disco's basslines, loops, strings, guitar chops, and vocal hooks, often using sampling or replayed motifs to make older grooves hit with modern kick drums. It can be glossy and pop-facing or rough and loop-driven, but the appeal is the same: disco warmth with house's DJ utility. Compared with classic disco, it is more grid-tight and repetitive; compared with deep house, it is brighter, more celebratory, and more openly tied to recognizable dance-floor nostalgia.
History
The sound took shape as 1990s house producers mined disco and funk records for loops, then exploded globally through French Touch and crossover hits. Stardust's "Music Sounds Better With You," Armand Van Helden's "You Don't Know Me," Modjo's "Lady," Spiller's "Groovejet," and Room 5's "Make Luv" made disco house a pop-chart force. The style never really vanished; Duck Sauce, Purple Disco Machine, and countless edit labels kept turning disco memory into house momentum.
