Desert Tech

Desert Tech is the more techno-facing branch of desert house: steadier low-end, longer hypnotic builds, drier percussion, darker synth pressure, and fewer cafe or chillout signals. It still favors open-air atmosphere and live-instrument color, but the tracks are usually tougher DJ tools for art cars, late-night camps, or desert afterhours. When it works, the music keeps techno's propulsion while letting dust, space, and melody remain audible.
History
The style came from the same Burning Man, Robot Heart, Mayan Warrior, Berlin slow-house, and Tulum circuits that shaped playa tech, but it leaned more toward melodic techno and minimal afterhours than wellness downtempo. Acid Pauli, Rampue, Mira, Christopher Schwarzwälder, Nico Stojan, Britta Arnold, Monolink, Be Svendsen, Jan Blomqvist, Satori, Bedouin, Chaim, Kerala Dust, Kora, and Sainte Vie represent different versions of the sound: some psychedelic and slow, some guitar-led, some crisp enough for a techno floor.
