Club House is house designed for broad dance floors: clean kick drums, obvious hooks, extended mix structure, vocal drops, breakdowns and production strong enough to cut through a large room. It is less historically specific than Chicago or garage house and more about practical club utility. History
Once house escaped local underground scenes, DJs needed records that worked across commercial clubs, radio mix shows, resort rooms, gay clubs and festival tents. 1990s and early-2000s club house absorbed pop vocals, hip-house energy, diva hooks, disco samples and bigger studio production.
