History
Emerged as megachurch worship collectives turned Sunday services into arena productions. From around 2010, Elevation Worship (North Carolina), Bethel Music, Hillsong and Passion dominated church setlists; a 2023 study found a handful of these churches behind most popular new worship songs. Elevation's 'Graves Into Gardens' went RIAA platinum, defining the modern arena-worship template.
