Faith lyrics fused to club and EDM production: pumping four-on-the-floor kicks, synth drops, vocoder and talkbox hooks, festival-sized builds and bright dance-pop choruses. High-energy and youth-aimed, it carried worship and testimony themes to the dancefloor and Christian-CHR radio, trading sermon for euphoric, beat-driven, drop-laden uplift.

History

Crystallized in the early-2010s Christian EDM boom, largely on Gotee Records. Capital Kings (Cole Walowac with Jon White, later Dylan Housewright) sent clubby singles like Fireblazin and Into Your Arms to No. 1 on Christian CHR; Royal Tailor's electro turn, Group 1 Crew and Family Force 5 fed the same dance-pop wave before it cooled mid-decade.
