Caribbean Country makes the rhythmic influence more explicit, drawing on reggae, calypso, or island percussion while retaining country lyrics or vocal identity. It sounds less like a beach postcard and more like a literal offshore breeze entering the arrangement.

History

Buffett again is the root figure, but later mainstream country repackaged Caribbean rhythmic signs for radio-friendly summer songs. The style remains more a recurring production flavor than a tightly bounded canon, but it is one of country's most recognizable seasonal hybrids.
