Bob Wills-Lane Swing

Bob Wills-Lane Swing is the canonical Texas Playboys style: hot fiddles, steel features, dancing rhythm section, blues-jazz harmonic seasoning, shouted interjections, and a deep affection for both sophistication and rowdy fun. It is the most influential single template within western swing.
History
Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys standardized the sound through radio, records, and relentless dancehall performance, with Tommy Duncan, Leon McAuliffe, Johnny Gimble, and others helping define its vocal and instrumental hallmarks. Later revivalists have returned again and again to this lane because, quite simply, Bob Wills is still the king.
