Boat Country is the marina-and-lake cousin of beach-country: pontoons, deck parties, river weekends, and the peculiar American desire to haul a floating living room behind a pickup. The sound is usually bright, midtempo, and built for summer playlist utility.

History

As country radio leaned harder into outdoor-lifestyle imagery, boats became recurring props and eventually a recognizable lane of songs. The style helped bridge sandals-over-sand beach songs and the more inland lake-country world of mainstream summer country.
