History
From roughly 2007-2012, blogs like Nah Right, 2DopeBoyz, and Pigeons & Planes broke artists by posting free tracks and mixtapes. Wiz Khalifa's 'Kush & Orange Juice,' Big Sean's 'Finally Famous,' J. Cole's 'The Warm Up,' and Kid Cudi's blog loosies built careers without radio. The model faded as streaming and social media replaced blog discovery by 2013.
