The 2000s and 2010s produced major crossover moments for Coldplay, The Killers, Kings of Leon, Linkin Park, Paramore, Foster the People, Gotye, Portugal. The Man, Imagine Dragons, and Twenty One Pilots, whose songs moved between alternative radio, pop charts, commercials, streaming playlists, and global festival stages.
