Afro Gospel House blends house, Afro-house, amapiano, and South African choral or worship feeling into spiritual club records. The gospel element may be explicit praise language, prayer-like repetition, choir harmonies, or the emotional uplift of call-and-response vocals. History

South African gospel and house have overlapped for decades through choir culture, vocal-house tradition, and the role of spiritual language in township music.
