Bass tech house gives tech house a heavier, more elastic low end—chunky Reese-like lines, growls, short rave stabs, and drop design that leans toward bass house without fully becoming it. It usually runs at 126–128 BPM and is punchier and more overtly “drop-aware” than classic tech house.

History

The sub-style formed where tech house met UK bass, g-house, and festival-bass production instincts. Artists like Chris Lorenzo, Matroda, Wax Motif, VOLAC, BIJOU, and AC Slater helped codify a lane that keeps house structure but foregrounds bass impact as the main character.
